Shogun
Shogun builds upon its Bushi base class by adding 2 new weaponskills, a bona fide tank stance and several abilities to mitigate damage. A Shogun wears the same armor as a Gladiator or Marauder and in the end game, wears "Fending" gear. A Shogun's main stat is STR.
The full Shogun bi-directional weaponskill chain looks like this: Kagero <> Goten <> Jinpu <> Rana <> Ageha <> Kaiten <> Koki Note that the Shogun can start at any weaponskill in the chain and move in either direction to gain combo bonuses. By chaining between Kagero and Goten, the Shogun increases its parry rate and reduces physical damage taken. By chaining between Koki and Kaiten, the Shogun increases its evasion and reduces magic damage taken. The Shogun's version of Hallowed Ground or Holmgang is Shirahadori, which allows the Shogun to completely evade all physical damage for a brief time. Paired with Pillar of No Mind, which blocks a single magic attack, a Shogun can effectively prevent most deadly situations if actions are used wisely. Later, Shogun gets a unique ability called Fealty, which lets the Shogun elect a party member to take a mortal blow in its place. While the Shogun lacks a devoted 'damage stance', it can easily slip into an off-tank/damaging role by removing Seigan and using Glory of War, which can last for a very long time if the Shogun is not taking damage. And for adding some damage while in Seigan and actively tanking, the Shogun can make use of Chrysanthemum to counterattack automatically and Bonecrusher, which is like an inversion of the Paladin's Spirits Within.
