Samurai
A Samurai uses the same armoury weapon as its Bushi base class, the katana. Samurai wears heavy armors much like a Lancer in the early game, and wears "Maiming" gear in the end game.
Samurai builds upon the bidirectional weaponskill chain of the Bushi class by adding an additional weaponskill to each end of the chain, Gekkou and Yukikaze. The full chain looks like this: Yukikaze <> Goten <> Jinpu <> Rana <> Ageha <> Kaiten <> Gekkou Note that the Samurai can start at any weaponskill and move in either direction to gain combo bonuses. By chaining between Gekkou and Kaiten, the Samurai changes a portion of its damage dealt to be magical, while lowering the magical resistance of its target. By chaining between Yukikaze and Goten, the Samurai adds both ice and lightning damage after each auto-attack. The combos between Kaiten and Ageha increase damage dealt. The combos between Goten and Jinpu increase attack speed. Kill or Die and Cleave improve the potency of your weaponskills. Iai temporarily reduces your weaponskill potency, but then doubles it, so should be used in a similar fashion to Monk's Forbidden Chakra. Singing Blade helps you maintain your combo bonuses between skirmishes. Burning Soul can give other melee fighters in your party a boost to their damage.
