Chemist
The best thing about a Chemist is never running out of MP. The worst thing about Chemist is having no actions ready to use!
Like its Apothecary base class, Chemist's main stat is INT and it wears "Caster" gear. Its armoury weapon is still a bag. The core mechanic of Chemist, as its base class, Apothecary, is prudent use of ability cooldowns. Note that Apothecary and Chemist actions do not consume items from your inventory. Adding to Apothecary's resource-free healing abilities, a Chemist gains area of effect healing in the forms of Mix Mega-Potion, Mix Mega-Hi-Potion, and Mix Megalixir. Other new additions are Elixir and Megalixir's ability to restore MP and TP to party members. Chemist also gets higher level Nitro and Aqua Regia abilities to add to its damage between heals. And because Chemist's heals are %-based, there is no need to do the Cleric Stance dance while trying to add to the party's DPS. Chemist also gets a few fun tricks to help out your party: Balmy Bomb puts targets to sleep with an instant cast, but due to its high recast is not as dependable as a Black Mage's Sleep spell. Resin slows targets and prevents them from scoring critical hits. (Great for when Warriors don't know how to use Raw Intuition!) Acid Splash increases the physical damage taken by every enemy in a group. (Perfect for NIN or BRD DPS on large pulls!)
