Apothecary
The Apothecary is a resource-free healer and support class that is only limited by cooldowns. Rather than rely on strength of mind to cure wounds, an Apothecary relies on scientific procedure and studied technique.
The Apothecary's armoury weapon is a bag. Its armor class is light cloth armor, sharing garments early game with Conjurers and Thaumaturges. End game, Apothecary equips "Casting" gear. Apothecary's main stat is INT. The core mechanic of Apothecary is artful use of cooldowns. Each ability has a separate cooldown timer; there is no global cooldown involved for Apothecary. Note that potions restore HP based on percentage, so MND is not necessary for the Apothecary. Nitro and Aqua Regia and their later iterations all scale on INT. Also note that Apothecary actions do not consume items from your inventory. Compared to magic-based healers, there are some pros and cons to playing Apothecary. Apothecaries can only cast a single-target version of Protect, called Deposition. Apothecaries will never run out of MP, but the high recast on Mix Phoenix-Potion may present challenges in some situations. Apothecary has a few new support actions as well. Oil helps Thieves, Ninjas, Black Mages, and Necromancers hit harder with fire-based attacks. Azoth is a new twist on the Archer's Swiftsong. Titrate helps out any DPS attacking your target, and Aqua Fortis is an instant-cast shield that also reduces damage taken briefly. Chemist builds upon this skillset by introducing area of effect Potions and Elixirs. Parfumier builds upon this skillset by using potions to heal itself, and introducing weaponskills and several perfume-stances which can be layered to fit the situation.
